Magnolia Behavioral Hospital of East Texas’s Oak Adult Psychiatric Program provides intensive treatment for individuals with medical, emotional and psychiatric issues, within a safe, peaceful and secure setting.
These issues may include:
- Mood Disorders (unexplained mood changes)
- Bipolar Disorder
- Irrational or Overwhelming Phobias
- Panic Attacks
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) behavior
- Suicidal/Homicial Thoughts
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Unresolved Grief & Loss
Under the supervision of a psychiatric team, adult psychiatric program patients are assisted in identifying the sources of their psychological issues, which are impairing their abilities to function.
Our treatment consists of psychiatric assessment, medication evaluations and managemnt, group psychotherapy, family education, nutritional consultations, recreational therapy, illness education, individual, family and group therapy, and discharge planning.

All of our adult psychiatric program inpatient tracks are intensive and therapeutically-focused, aimed at moving the individual from an inpatient setting to outpatient therapy, as quickly as possible.
