Our Specialty Treatment Programs at Magnolia Behavioral Hospital of East Texas
Adult Psychiatric Treatment Program
Our Adult Psychiatric Program provides intensive treatment for individuals with medical, emotional and psychiatric issues in a safe and secure setting.
Dual Diagnosis Unit
We offer inpatient treatment to individuals 18 years and older, who suffer from drug and/or alcohol abuse with a co-occurring psychiatric illness.
Who can make a referral?
Family members, physicians, clinicians, community agencies, ministers, and the judicial system can make referrals. Self-referrals are always welcome.
A dual diagnosis occurs when an individual is affected by both chemical dependency and an emotional or psychiatric illness. Our program focuses on patients’ recovery needs, for both their chemical dependency, and their psychiatric illness(es).
Our trained professionals perform a process of testing that uses a combination of therapeutic, holistic, and medicinal techniques, to help arrive at hypotheses about our patients and their behavior, personality and the best treatment suited for them.
It’s been proven that a lasting & positive relationship between regular exercise and positive levels of mental health go hand-in-hand. The evidence for psychological benefits is extremely strong for psychiatric patients. Unfortunately, many behavioral health centers ignore this important relationship. Our facility is proud to go against that paradigm, and offer onsite gym facilities and fitness programs to keep our patients active & motivated.
Magnolia Behavioral Hospital offers frequently-held support groups for our patients. We provide general support for various chemical addictions, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and a myriad of behavioral health issues.
We believe that true wellness cannot occur until the patient experiences it outside of our facility. This is best achieved through not only therapy, but education for both our patients, and their loved ones. We offer a number continuing education and social programs for our patients.
